RINGING IN THE OLYMPICS AT THE MOULIN ROUGE!
The Paris Olympic Games are fast approaching! With the start of the Games just a few weeks away, the Olympic flame continues its traditional journey across the host nation. On 14 and 15 July, the torch made its way through the French capital: after passing through Montmartre, the symbol of Olympism made its next stop right outside the Moulin Rouge!
On your marks, get set…dance! On the morning of 15 July, 25 artists from the Moulin Rouge took over the street outside the cabaret, treating the crowd of Parisians who had gathered to an exhilarating performance of the French Cancan.
Two torch bearers then performed the handover of the flame, surrounded by the performers outside the world’s most famous cabaret, with the Moulin proudly sporting its brand-new sails.

THE MOULIN ROUGE SPREADS ITS WINGS AGAIN
Following their fall from the building on the night of 24-25 April, we immediately took all necessary measures to ensure the Moulin Rouge’s sails would once more be lighting up the night as soon as possible!
On 5 July, the new sails – created by a specialist company in the Paris region – were inaugurated. Although featuring a design that looks similar to their ancestors, their structure has been reinforced.
What better way to celebrate this renewal than to deliver a magical spectacle of the kind only the Moulin Rouge is able to put on?
Our artists welcomed the new sails with a magical audiovisual show that ended at the foot of the illuminated windmill.
