The feathermaker
With feathers all a-quiver, the Moulin Rouge artists are ready to take to the stage. The Maison Février feathermakers are busy backstage, adding embellishment to voluptuous boas and gabrielles that will leave you dazzled.
At the Moulin Rouge, the master feathermaker possesses the rare expertise of knowing how to manipulate the feather, like an artist ready to amaze you every evening.
Under the artistic direction of Maxime Leroy, the artisans at Maison Février meticulously craft these sumptuous feather creations by hand, which requires several hours of work.
Founded in 1929 and flying the flag as the last remaining feathermaker in the heart of Paris, Maison Février is entrusted with creating unique pieces for the worlds of fashion and the performing arts.
Almost 300 feather costumes adorn the Moulin Rouge artists every evening.
Each year, these entertainment artisans create no less than 3,000 metres of feather boas for the Féerie Revue show.
