We are looking for a Head Waiter for a full-time permanent contract, to be filled as soon as possible.

Position description

Reporting to the Assistant Restaurant Managers, you will provide efficient and courteous service to the customers in your row, in accordance with Moulin Rouge standards. Your main duties will be as follows :

 

Before the service :

  • Check the list of VIP customers ;
  • Set up the tables according to the seating plan, and ensure that the consoles are properly prepared ;
  • Be familiar with the different menus on offer : dishes, desserts, fillings, contents, allergens and preparation methods ;
  • Welcoming customers and placing them in rows, while creating a privileged contact.

 

During the service :

  • Take orders, advise customers, respond to their requests and, if possible, anticipate their needs ;
  • Serving customers (food and drink) discreetly and professionally ;
  • Ensuring that the dinner service runs smoothly (setting up, sending out, claiming, clearing away) by ensuring good communication with the Kitchen Brigade and supervising and supporting the Restaurant Assistants in your row ;
  • Handling and conscientiously maintaining all the equipment and small materials in the dining room ;
  • Use the TCPOS system to record sales, print or close bills, and follow cash collection procedures (cash, credit cards, vouchers, etc.) ;
  • Be familiar with and apply health and safety regulations, and ensure compliance with HACCP standards.

 

During and after performances :

  • Be present with customers in order to meet their needs ;
  • Straighten up tables for the second service ;
  • Report any malfunctions and/or customer comments (positive or negative) to your line manager.

 

Throughout the evening, you will ensure optimum quality of service by providing a warm welcome that contributes to a successful experience at the Cabaret.

 

All of these tasks must also contribute to guaranteeing the image of the brand and the cabaret, by offering customers impeccable presentation and behavior.

Your profile

You have hotel training (CAP/BEP or BAC level in Catering), and have acquired solid experience in service in quality establishments, such as luxury brasseries.

 

You have mastered the basic technical skills of room service (taking orders, serving food and drinks, cashing up, etc.).

 

You have a sound knowledge of products and beverages.

 

You are well-groomed, responsive, smiling and courteous, and you know how to bring people together and work as part of a team. You have excellent customer relations, problem-solving skills and positive energy. You are physically dexterous and careful when serving.

 

Knowledge of English is essential for this position. A third language would be appreciated.

Contract

Full-time permanent contract – 35 hours per week – available as soon as possible.

Work on weekends and public holidays.

Periods of 5 working days – 2 consecutive days off.

Working hours : from 5:45 p.m. to 1:45 a.m.

Salary : according to profile.

Benefits : no cut-off, health insurance, 50% transport reimbursement, meal card, 13th month, Business and Social Council, bonuses, uniform provided.

Job based at Bal du Moulin Rouge, 82 Boulevard de Clichy – 75018 PARIS.
