We are looking for a Machinist for a part-time permanent contract, to be filled as soon as possible.

Position description
You will be the machinery professional for the show. As such, you will be responsible for setting up, assembling and moving the sets before, during and after performances. Reporting to the Head Machinist and Assistant Head Machinist, within the Machinery Department, your daily tasks will be :
- Set up and remove the musicians’ props and instruments from the stage before the 1st show ;
- Before the show, set up and move scenery and props ;
- During the show, make mobile set changes between two scenes ;
- Lift curtains and drapes in synchronization with the music ;
- After the 2nd show, helping to prepare the stage for the following day’s rehearsals or events ;
- Use, according to his/her skills, permanent or temporary hanging and lifting equipment and materials ;
- Maintain equipment and materials ;
- Report any machinery malfunctions encountered to the Head Stagehand or Assistant Head Stagehand.
You will work in compliance with safety regulations and according to the instructions of your line manager.
Please note that this position requires you to travel in dimly lit environments, particularly during the show.

Your profile
You will have a keen interest in the world of entertainment and a successful first experience, ideally gained in a similar environment and position.
You will be able to work at height and/or on a cherry picker. You will have basic DIY skills and be able to work with your hands.
You will be able to move, lift and pull heavy loads (boxes, escalators, etc.) and manage priorities and emergencies.
You are discreet, flexible and versatile.
Moreover, you’re responsive, serious, committed, punctual and agile.
An ear for music is a plus.
Contract
Part-time permanent contract – 30 hours per week (6 days out of 7) – to be filled as soon as possible.
Hours : evenings (8.30pm – 1.30am) or afternoons (1.00pm – 6.00pm).
1 day off during the week.
Work at weekends and public holidays.
Salary : €2,383 gross per month.
Benefits : health insurance, 50% transport reimbursement, meal card, uniform provided, 13th month, Business and Social Council, bonuses, taxi paid in the evening.
